Modern Warfare 2 Review

Modern Warfare 2

The long wait for its 6th and latest installment is finally over. I’ve been waiting for it for ages! Now, Call of duty Modern Warfare 2 is finally out! It’s the direct sequel to Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare.  I quickly bought the game and it’s the certainly worth it! Allow me to share my review for this fantastic game.

Modern Warfare 2 offers the most intense, action packed single-player campaign. The action and thrill it gives is really entertaining. The single-player campaigns are very challenging. It’s way better than other video games. It certainly surpassed my expectations. The missions are mind-blowing adventures that will surely keep you upbeat. Once you’ve started with the campaign, you’ll surely get hooked.

The multiplayer mode in Modern Warfare 2 is even more impressive. They’ve made it more addictive. The maps are very impressive. Most of them are larger than those in Call of Duty 4, although there are still some nice small ones like Rust that can be fun with as few as 2-6 players. The main thing I noticed about the maps is the vast increase in dynamics. Nearly all the maps have many routes from point A to point B. This drives the players to give the game a more strategic approach.

The improvements in details and overall graphics are remarkable. I have played all the game types mainly Team Death match, Sabotage, and Capture the Flag. All work well in terms of where players start, where they spawn, and how they can approach the game. Other new additions include a game type called demolition and several traditional game types that are played in third-person mode.

On the level of difficulty, I would say that playing the campaign on regular is approximately equivalent to playing COD4's campaign on hardened. Regular to hardened represents a reasonable level of difficulty; veteran, but (and speaking from experience for the entire campaign) is, at some points, nearly impossible, and I'm NOT exaggerating. On two or three missions, there were certain points where I died probably about more than a dozen times before managing to get past the enemies or figure out a way to evade them. This may sound frustrating but it makes for all-the-greater amount of satisfaction when you get over the level. What’s a game without tough challenges right?

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 lives up to its hype. It’s a certified entertaining, action-packed video game! It’s available for PC, XBox, PS3 and Nintendo DS.

The best prices I've seen for all versions of the game are at Amazon. Here's a link to them...
